Rescue Mission Dates: March 10, August 25, September 8, and October 13
The mission statement of Bread of Life is this: “To minister to aging adults, children and families
by providing a nutritious meal; to share the love of Jesus Christ and take action against hunger in
our community”. We understand that seniors, in particular, may not be cooking as much, or getting
the nutrition they need. Maybe you are a single parent and have a financial burden, maybe you are a
widow(er), maybe you just need a break. We are here to serve you, and welcome you to our church
We will be serving dinner every Wednesday night in the Broadus Worship Center (the gym) to
anyone who is able to come. We will start serving at 5:30 and stop serving around 6:15. You are
invited to stay for the 7pm bible study!
“And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your
God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed”.
Ruth's Garden is located at and maintained by Broadus Baptist Church. Once the
produce is harvested, it will be distributed throughout the community, free of charge.
The purpose of Ruth's garden is to teach anyone who wishes to volunteer how to live
off the land, at the same time teaching them about being a cheerful giver. ( So let each
one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a
cheerful giver. 2 Cor. 9:7)

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Jesus,
It is so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take Him "AT HIS WORD"! Beautiful words to a beautiful song, "Tis so sweet to Trust
A funeral home director asked me the other week; "Preacher, everything you say sounds so good but, how can you be so sure
and how can I?" I told her the first thing that the Holy Spirit put in my mouth; you can be sure because of His Word. If you cant
trust His Word, then what can you trust and that there is no hope. Feelings, time and circumstances all change, all the time. Faith
(trust/believing) is eternal. Faith in what He says to be true. It truly is the only thing you can have hope in, assurance in, joy in,
power by and light the way. As the song says, "Just to take Him at His Word".
Do you take Him at this Word? Or, are you looking for something else? Is His Word good enough for you? Sometimes we'll
trust a man's word being good enough for us but, come short when we cant allow Gods Word to be good enough for us. Think
Stay faithful, Stay in the prayer closet, stay in the Word and I'll see you at His House!
I love you,
