A Note from the Pastor
The mission statement of Bread of Life is this: “To minister to aging adults, children and families
by providing a nutritious meal; to share the love of Jesus Christ and take action against hunger in
our community”. We understand that seniors, in particular, may not be cooking as much, or getting
the nutrition they need. Maybe you are a single parent and have a financial burden, maybe you are a
widow(er), maybe you just need a break. We are here to serve you, and welcome you to our church
We will be serving dinner every Wednesday night in the Broadus Worship Center (the gym) to
anyone who is able to come. We will start serving at 5:30 and stop serving around 6:15. You are
invited to stay for the 7pm bible study!
“And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your
God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed”.
Ruth's Garden is located at and maintained by Broadus Baptist Church. Once the
produce is harvested, it will be distributed throughout the community, free of charge.
The purpose of Ruth's garden is to teach anyone who wishes to volunteer how to live
off the land, at the same time teaching them about being a cheerful giver. ( So let each
one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a
cheerful giver. 2 Cor. 9:7)
If you know someone who you would like to send a basket to, please contact Joni
Hinson at 704-305-0676 Link to Website
The Kings Threads (quilting group) meets every Thursday at 10:00am at

Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00pm for anyone who would like to come
and check out books. The library is located in the front of the
Parsonage. Please see Tammy Jacobs if you have any questions.
Hallelujah and the Lord bless you and let's praise Him together in this month of the resurrection. It is "so sweet to trust in Jesus,
just to take him at His Word", as the song says. We take Him at His Word....."I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth
in me, though he were dead , yet shall he live and whosoever liveth and believeth in me, shall NEVER die"!! (John 11:25-26)
Then He asks the greatest question posed to humanity and you and me as individuals. "Believest thou this"?
He lives' we too shall live and will be passed from death unto life. HALLELUJAH! Do you believe it? Are you putting your
life and soul on the line for His Word? Have you laid down your life and taken up His life? If you want a spiritual lift about the
resurrection by sight, click this link: Ron DiCianni painting the resurrection. He masterfully included some of the Old Testament
saints standing around the Tomb in their glorified state when Jesus came out. It will move your spirit!
Bless the Lord, oh my! soul and ALL that is within me, bless His Holy name. You that are reading this, bless Him! See you at
