A Note from the Pastor
The mission statement of Bread of Life is this: “To minister to aging adults, children and families
by providing a nutritious meal; to share the love of Jesus Christ and take action against hunger in
our community”. We understand that seniors, in particular, may not be cooking as much, or getting
the nutrition they need. Maybe you are a single parent and have a financial burden, maybe you are a
widow(er), maybe you just need a break. We are here to serve you, and welcome you to our church
We will be serving dinner every Wednesday night in the Broadus Worship Center (the gym) to
anyone who is able to come. We will start serving at 5:30 and stop serving around 6:15. You are
invited to stay for the 7pm bible study!
“And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your
God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed”.
Ruth's Garden is located at and maintained by Broadus Baptist Church. Once the
produce is harvested, it will be distributed throughout the community, free of charge.
The purpose of Ruth's garden is to teach anyone who wishes to volunteer how to live
off the land, at the same time teaching them about being a cheerful giver. ( So let each
one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a
cheerful giver. 2 Cor. 9:7)
If you know someone who you would like to send a basket to, please contact Joni

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Jesus,
Spring is represented and depicted very wonderfully in the resurrection of our Lord and Savior. Can you say Lord and Savior? Is
He both to you? Does He have all of you? If not, He's not yet your Lord; He who controls all you are and do!
In the resurrection, we see death coming back to life, we see the cycles of life: birth, life, death, spiritual rebirth, life everlasting.
In the resurrection, spring becomes real to our senses, mind, emotions and body. It awakens us after a long, cold, lifeless and
dreary winter. We smell the newness of life. Our mind thinks of the endless possibilities of warm weather. Our emotions become
excited about new activities and new things to do. Our body "wakes up" to the new season. Is not, all this, Jesus? His birth, life, death
and resurrection, and soon coming again?
The new birth awakens us from death in our sin to the new life in Him. Our soul, senses, mind, emotions and body come to life.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me. John 14:6. He truly is "the life".
Do you know it, believe it, live it, feel it and love it? I pray so!
Stay faithful, endure, conquer, overcome, pray, study the Word, love someone, testify, witness and I'll see you at His House!
I love you,
Blood Drive from 2:30pm-7:00pm on Feb.3. We
will be serving lunch/dinner. Please pray about
donating! Please sign up if you want to attend.
